At the 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs), Beyoncé unexpectedly won Favourite Female Country Artist in the country category. Fans felt Lainey Wilson deserved the honour after performing her new track live at the ceremony, which sparked controversy.
The 11-time AMA winner received recognition for the first time in the country music category as the “Texas Hold ‘Em” diva won two prizes at the 2025 AMAs: Favourite Female Country Artist and Favourite Country Album.
Her album “Cowboy Carter” beat out Jelly Roll’s “BEAUTIFULLY BROKEN,” Megan Moroney’s “AM I OKAY?,” Post Malone’s “F-1 Trillion,” and Shaboozey’s “Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going.”
Beyoncé faced competition from Ella Langley, Kacey Musgraves, Megan Moroney, and Lainey Wilson in the Favourite Female Country Artist category.
