Wish list written by a foster child in Oklahoma

Dreamcatchers for Abused Children is a non-profit group that focuses on helping kids who have been abused. Their website says that their main aim is to teach people about everything related to child abuse, including signs, how to help, ways to prevent it, important numbers, and how to assist victims in finding the right help for a complete recovery.

Recently, the organization shared a really sad list made by a child from Oklahoma who had to go into foster care after suffering terrible abuse from his parents, who drank a lot. This boy never felt love or the happiness that childhood should bring. All he knew was being neglected and going hungry.

It took a long time before a neighbor saw the awful things happening in the boy’s house and decided to call social services.

After the police got involved, the boy was brought to the Dreamcatchers for Abused Children organization, which ensured he would find a new and loving home.

Eventually, when the organization discovered the ideal family and told the boy the wonderful news, he created a wish list that included everything he hoped for in his new forever home.

Of course, the list touched the hearts of many people. A lot of them took the time to comment that the items on the list are not things a child should have to wish for, as they should be considered basic needs that every child deserves.
